Hello, I am Szymon, a data enthusiast. How did it start? A few years ago I was just an average finances student, not very interested in finances or accounting, but always very good at statistics and fascinated about quantitative research. During my studies, I was looking for a job, no matter what industry. By amazing coincidence, I got hired in the IT industry in the advertising technology field (AdOps role). There is no data-related keyword in the job title, but I am dealing with data a lot. This position requires just basic coding knowledge, but I want to develop my skills anyway. I still have to learn a lot, so the blog is mainly created for learning purposes. The second purpose is quite personal. I am not the best at communicating things. After a few years of working and studying, I know that some things I talk about can be clear for me but not for others. I think the blog can help me with working on it. I hope the posts will always be at least a bit data-related, but who knows tbh. I am not the best writer btw. At the end of the day, I am graduated in the economics field, so the knowledge gap I have to close is large. I do not know if I can do this alone, but I have fun with it, even if I make basic mistakes. My dream is to become a data engineer someday, but I know a data analyst role is more realistic now. One of my hobbies is watching a sport, especially Formula 1 and football. I am also a computer games fan, especially League of Legends and Gothic š.
